Another short day since we drove from Quebec down to Burlington VT and then caught up with laundry duty when we got in town. We got in town and caught a couple of pics of the B&B we were staying at along with it's beautiful backyard.
And in case you forgot, I'm still on vacation.
These are the travels of the life Tina and Tom share. Please feel free to join us on this journey, share your thoughts and feelings ... or just view it at your leisure. Either way, it's our pleasure to share it with you.

Leaf Change - Day 14 - More Waterfalls and Wildlife
Another beautiful day in Canadian paradise and, on the advise of one of my workers (thank Todd), Tina and I headed up to Saint Anne's Canyon. It's an absolutely beautiful place just a bit farther up from the falls we were at the day before.
These falls are a bit shorter than the ones we visited the day before, but that doesn't make them any less spectacular.
The suspension bridge above the falls.
Who says Grisly Bears aren't friendly?
Again, video's are still the best ways to see falls.
The entire St. Anne's trail was a mile long so we looked up nature trails afterwords and found a gorgeous wildlife management area about 10 miles up the road on the St. Lawrence river. Welcome to the Cap Tourmente Wildlife Management Park of Quebec.
We found a 5 mile loop which was absolutely spectacular for what we were looking.
A colorful caterpillar hiding down inside the grass.
The Saint Laurence River hiding between the tree line.
Can a man catch a ride on the local railway system?
Geese and ducks ... by the thousands.
There really is some fall colors in those hills pilgrim. :)
On the way back to Quebec City we stopped for a quick visit to St. Annes catholic church.
Until next time, you've gotta believe that God smiles too.
Hope everybody is having a great October so far.

Leaf Change - Day 13 - Off the Ship and Onto the Waterfalls
October brought us the return of beautiful fall weather as we left the ship and caught a transfer out to the airport to pick up a rental car. After a quick lunch we headed up the Saint Lawrence River to Montmorency Falls. These spectacular falls are right next to the Saint Lawrence and offered some great hiking to get up to the top and view the falls from the suspension bridge over them.
Fall colors weren't everywhere, but we did get to enjoy some of them along with other fall foliage.
Looking down from the suspension bridge.
We took a trail up but were going down via the steps on the far side.
The rainbows of the falls mist.
But nothing shows waterfalls better than some short video clips.
In the late afternoon we walked around more of Quebec City, including a visit to the most photographed hotel in the world, the Le Chateau Frontenac.

Leaf Change - Day 12 - Hello Quebec City
We had our second semi-bad weather day on arriving in Quebec City on Wednesday, September 30th. It was windy with light drizzles but Tina and I made it out for 4 hours at least in the morning hours. We weren't actually getting off the boat until Thursday so we were able to go back on board for the afternoon and enjoy the little time left on the ship.
Tina and I were in Quebec city some 25 years ago with the kids. We were using our pop-up camper back then. The kids weren't quite interested in strolling the city streets and taking in it's history and beauty. We were able to make up for part of that this time around. Quebec is one of the most beautiful and fun cities around.
Canada and the northeast part of the US are big into the fall season as a whole and go all out decorating for it.
As we'd seen in other parts of Canada, they're big into the building murals. Quebec really goes all out with them.
Tina's at the far end of the flowers ... and wearing black she still outshines the pretty flowers. :)
Pictures from our balcony after the cold weather caused us to retreat to the ships warmth.

Acting like they'd never had their pictures taken before.

And a panorama from our balcony of the entire downtown Quebec City skyline.
Until next time, here's a Quebec Providence flag wave atcha!
