After the hike outside of Ashville we made it up to Gatlinburg. I won't ever recommend Gatlinburg in July due to how crowded it is, but Tina and I had fun none the less. On the full day we were there we drove 23 miles into the Great Smokey Mountain National Park (which took a total of 90 minutes due to traffic inside the park) to hike up a trail known as Abrams Falls Trail. It's a 2.5 mile trail up and then back down, with a lot of up and down hillsides along the way.
