The next day took us on a tour up into the mountains surrounding Cape Town where one of the major wine areas of South Africa resides. The stop at the first winery had wild animals.
OK ... so not really wild ... really farm animals. Yes, zebra's are raised as farm animals ... and the goat was just cute.

The country side is just beautiful with the huge rocks of mountains jutting up behind the vineyards.
A hug engulfed the whole lower half of this mountain side a year ago and damaged a few of the vineyards that butted up to it.
Most of the wineries have gorgeous gardens on the estates.
For lunch we stopped at a local college town which was full of nice eateries and art stores. We didn't think this horse sculpture would fit on the plane with us. :)
The vineyards of the 3rd and final estate we visited.
Saying goodbye to the wine country.
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed South African wines since switching mainly to South American. Definitely need to reintroduce them to our collection.
Until next time, happy wining ...
