This herd of hippo's greeted us at the dock before we even left.
Lovers ... or just friends?
OK ... I won't go into the details of the following sequence in case we have a younger viewing audience, but suffice it to say I don't think you see it at the zoo very often, if ever ... and there's no mistaking bedroom eyes. :)
Yep ... you're the one.
No comment necessary.
Nor here either.
Awwwwww ... the after glow. :)
On down the river we spotted our first crock of the trip.
He quickly decided he didn't like being photographed and headed to the water.
They had set intentional fires in the reserve adjacent to the estuary which made for some really smokey traveling.
In addition to the hippos and crocks, it was full of all sorts of bird life.

But the Hippo's still ruled the roost on this afternoon trip.
The beautiful Ms. Tina on the river boat.
The Hippo's reaction to the beautiful Ms. Tina. He knows a hot one when he see's one!
A young hippo eating grass along the shore line.
He had no appreciation of being photographed while he ate. :)
Back off the boat and into the lodge.
Until the next post, keep the hippo's in your fondest thoughts.
