The leaf changes might not be great for us, but there's still a ton of beautiful flowers left around.
A pair of wing clipped swans on a pond on the trail.
We were talking to a local when I took this pic. It's just above a dam system which they close up in the summer to create a swimming hole at this location. I asked why it was opened up at the end of September and he said the water was much too cold for swimming. I'm quite confident the water was way too cold at the end of August for swimming, but that didn't seem to be apparent to them.
The lower dam feeds water to the local paper mill company, which owns the majority of the land the walking trail is on. Given it's a 12 mile trail system, that's a pretty impressive donation to the city.
Here's a movie of the water spilling over the lower dam.
Back on the ship, here's some pics on our way out of Corner Brook.
Until next time, keep on smiling.
