The Bay of Fundy is famous for it's extreme tidal changes. At the far end of the bay low to high tide changes water levels by up to 54 feet. We saw these fishing boats near the entrance to the park. Unfortunately we didn't get to take a picture on the way out when these same boats were 10 feet above the low tide water level. They actually have stands underneath them where they rest when the tide is out.
At the park itself we were looking down at some unique rock formations created from the constant work of the incoming and outgoing tides on the rocks.
Then it was down 150 steps to get down to the beach.
At high tide the water level is up to the top of this archway in the rock. While we were there the water level was going down by 4 inches per minute.
The ride back to the ship was hot because the electrical system in the bus broke down and hence we had no air conditioning. Given no windows which could be opened, it heated up quickly even with the outside temps in the low 60's. Regardless we made it back and the ship left shortly thereafter giving us one more view of another lighthouse.
Just before dinner I was able to catch some good shots of a beautiful sunset from our balcony.
Until next time, keep the tides working in your favor.
