Iceland - Day 1 and 2 - The Fun Begins

I'm jumping ahead about a year, which means I'm passing up several posts I should have made during the year.  Regardless, Tina and I are in Iceland right now and I'm going to try my best to keep up day to day on this trip.  Maybe I'll go back later and try to catch up with the others.  Or not ... 😋

Tina and I arrived in Reykjavik, Iceland bright and early Monday morning having taken an overnight red eye.  We escaped the terrible hurricane down in Florida by changing our flight to go to NYC a few days early, hung out there, and then flew from there to Iceland.  Obviously day 1 was a bit of a catch up on sleep day but we also explored Reykjavik for a bit.

Tina did her best statue impersonation.

And we also visited the new Performing Arts Center.  Impressive indeed.

Tuesday was off to whale watching wearing sexy thermal protection outfits.

We did manage to see a couple of whales but getting decent pics of them was challenging at best.

Probably should have just stuck with watching them, which was pretty cool.

We had a bit better luck with some friendly dolphins hanging around, but even they seemed a bit shy about showing themselves.

Here's hoping the pic taking gets better moving forward from here.
