Fred and Gwen and Sarah stayed around in Vegas for a couple of days while Tina and I extended it out to 5 days. We'd seen this hot rod 3 wheeler you could rent and so Tina and I decided to have some fun one afternoon and rented one of them.
Just outside of Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. Yes ... even after 2 weeks we were still searching out canyons. The little speedster car was fun to take up in the mountains.
Once again, a bit different than the other places we'd been, but still just as beautiful.
Amazing contrast of colors.
So that does it for our Utah trip and we are now officially caught up with our blog vacation posting. Until our next travel, keep smiling and partying like it's almost 2017.
These are the travels of the life Tina and Tom share. Please feel free to join us on this journey, share your thoughts and feelings ... or just view it at your leisure. Either way, it's our pleasure to share it with you.

Canyon Trip - Day 10 - Back to Vegas
Sunday the 18th was the travel day back to Vegas. Before we left I walked down to an overlook area that showed the other side of the Lake Powell dam.
On the road we made a stop at the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
Toad Stool rock formations.
Then in the afternoon we side tracked to Valley of Fire State Park which is just a ways outside of Vegas.
And then it was back to Vegas and a visit with sin city.

Canyon Trip - Day 9 - Lake Powell
Saturday September 17th had us getting up early to do a boat tour of Lake Powell. It was a beautiful day for the tour.
The white marks the high water mark of the lake where water starts running over the dam. This would not be a good thing. They prefer to keep the lake where it is right now.
Natures artwork on the side of the cliffs.
People traveling by turbine boats, jet ski's, kayaks, and ski boats.
The base of this canyon was 600 feet down before they created Lake Powell.
The mighty dam.
The fish back along the dock.
After lunch we hiked out to Horseshoe Bend Overlook.
The next day would have us driving back to Las Vegas and our road trip was quickly coming to an end.
But not before another post or two.
