That afternoon we took off to explore old town Zurich.
We used Uber to get to and from the old town area and it worked as well as any place else we've used it, although a bit more expensive. EVERYTHING in Zurich is more expensive.
Sunday we decided to figure out the local tram system and used it to get up to the mountain overlooking Zurich known as Uetliberg. Amazingly Tina found Santa up there. Who knew Santa hung out above Zurich.
I got stuck with a polar bear. 👨
Then it was off up the hill above the tram station to a local hotel/restaraunt.
Looking down on the city of Zurich.
The Swiss Alps jutting out from the cloud cover below.
Got to admit she looks mighty fine surrounded by the Switzerland country side.
Looking down on Lake Zurich.
More of the majestic Swiss Alps.
Not much snow around but we found a few patches.
Coming back down off the mountain we stopped in the old town area again and came across a local swan.
Then we found out Santa had come down off the mountain too and quadrupled himself into an entertaining guitar/singing band.
Until next time don't try too understand ... it's just a Swiss thing. 😀
